Garden Club- Photos
Our Garden is Flourishing!
The students have done an amazing job all summer weeding, tending to vegetables, and picking the crops. We've had a lot of great veggies to munch on! Below, students show off what crops we have picked! These include tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, corn, carrots, peas, and herbs.
We're Making Progress!
Thanks to all of the students that are signed up to help out during the summer months. Our plants/crops are off to a great start! We are even seeing some real vegetables growing! They'll be ready to pick in no time.... Here are some photos from June 16th.
Our Current Courtyard
In these photos, you can see what the current condition of our courtyard looks like. We hope to make this area a wonderful learning experience for all students, K-5 at Masonic Heights Elementary.
Garden Club - Day One
Here's the group getting down and dirty in the courtyard! We had lots of work cut out for us today! The sun was shining and the weather was perfect! The students were able to learn the difference between flowers and weeds. They did a great job replanting some of our bushes and flowers.
The Garden/Courtyard Update
We worked really hard over the past two weeks getting the courtyard ready for crops. In the photos below, students are working to get the garden beds filled with dirt, they are planting herbs in the herb garden, and they are planting the blueberry bushes. It was a lot of hard work!
